HOW ITS MADE
All my work is handmade by me in my little studio in Berchem, using a second-hand laserwelding machine and a home-brewed galvanisation station.
I buy all the wire I use for my work from K.C. Smith, a company in the UK that specialises in making high-quality stainless steel wire. You can read more about their quality control and their ethos on their website: https://www.kcsmith.co.uk/page/our-quality-assurance
The colouring method I use is called KLIAR Nano-ceramic e-coating. A company called LEGOR who are based in Italy developed it, and you can read more about it here: http://products.legor.com/EN/item/3922
With regards to carbon footprint, my laserwelding machine does use a lot of electricity, and stainless steel isn’t as easily recycled as gold or silver.
